One Year Later...

Nearly a year ago Tim began his uphill climb from the streets of Houston. Tim has been sober for 10 months. After his rehab, Tim reconnected with family and is employed as an Apprentice Machinist. He has his own apartment and now a documentary about his life changing experience.

It is awesome to watch the transformation of one man. He lived on the streets for 5 years as many of us here in the Houston and Katy area drove right past him without even a thought. Thanks to two men, Kevin and Sean Dolan, who took an idea to the streets and changed one man's life forever.

Thanks to all of the donors and volunteers who helped bring all of this to fruition. Without them, this would not have been possible.

I began following this after reading a story in the Chronicle. I became addicted to watching the web cast from the streets. Tim was such a polite, well spoken individual and I was in awe of how this man came to be on the streets, homeless. But as I watched the chatters and followers and donations flood in, I became in awe of those who wanted to help. This is such a heartwarming story and I hope we see many more like it.

Totally Engrossed

I was reading the online news when I came across this article titled Pimp This Bum. So I had to read. Very interesting. A Father and Son have teamed up with an actual Bum they located in Houston and are paying him 100.00 a day while they complete an internet experiment.

Anyway, they air video and talk to Tim Edwards, the Star of Pimpthisbum.com. On their website, pimpthisbum.com, they have a wish list in which you can donate through paypal. The wish list is basically a tongue and cheek expression, all of the money raised will go into a trust for Tim.

While live on U-stream, people near by offer to drop of lunch. Tim is an up and coming star, literally overnight. All the huge news medias are doing interviews and airing stories about Tim Edwards and on the live chat with U-Stream, he has created a following. I am totally engrossed and have U-stream and chat on my computer while I am working.

Currently Tim is searching for his brother, Stephen James Edwards who is about 40, Tim himself is 37. Tim stated that Stephen is his last remaining family. So if anyone knows a Stephen James Edwards about 40 in California, give me a shout!
